Chris Schlavin was born and raised in Albuquerque, where he attended the University of New Mexico, earning a BA in psychology in 2010. Chris worked as a sales associate for Designed Power Associates for three years and in 2013, joined Keller Williams Realty, Inc. as an associate broker. Chris remained in this position for four years until he started Granite Mountain Accounting with Bill and brother-in-law Daniel in 2017.

Always the entrepreneur at heart, Chris decided to launch his own real estate agency, the Schlavin Group Real Estate, LLC in Albuquerque, in 2018. While working as a qualifying broker with his newly established company, Chris continues providing accounting services to local small businesses and realtors as a partner at Granite Mountain Accounting and accredits his professional successes and achievements to the many lessons he has learned along the way. Chris most enjoys working in a family environment while building a business and takes pride in helping clients grow.

Aside from preparing to sit for the CPA exam, Chris spends his free time outdoors backpacking, mountain biking, and hunting. His favorite location to visit is Southern Colorado but often spends time venturing in the Pecos and Gila Mountains. Chris also enjoys partaking in do-it-yourself projects around the house as well as finding new hobbies and adventures to take on. He is passionate about spending time with his wife Casey of eight years and two children Lincoln and Adalynn.
